गंगापुरा में सरकारी टंकी से आ रहा दूषित पानी, बीमारियों की चपेट में बस्ती; लोगों ने मेडिकल रिपोर्ट दिखाकर जताया विरोध

नगर पालिका परिषद क्षेत्र के मोहल्ला गंगापुरा की दलित बस्ती में पेयजल संकट गहराता जा रहा है। क्षेत्रवासियों का आरोप है कि सरकारी टंकियों से कई दिनों से दूषित एवं बदबूदार पानी की आपूर्ति की जा रही है, जिससे बड़ी संख्या में लोग बीमार पड़ रहे हैं। समस्या से परेशान लोगों ने नगर पालिका प्रशासन के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन करते हुए अपनी बीमारी की मेडिकल रिपोर्ट दिखाकर कार्रवाई की मांग की।

                         

स्थानीय निवासी नितिन कुमार और धीरज ने बताया कि दूषित पानी की शिकायत कई बार नगर पालिका परिषद में लिखित रूप से की जा चुकी है, लेकिन अब तक कोई प्रभावी कदम नहीं उठाया गया। उनका कहना है कि अधिकारियों से लगातार संपर्क करने के बावजूद समस्या जस की तस बनी हुई है। 

क्षेत्रवासियों के अनुसार दूषित पानी के सेवन से लोगों में पीलिया, पेट संबंधी संक्रमण और लिवर से जुड़ी बीमारियों के मामले सामने आ रहे हैं। आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर परिवारों के लिए शुद्ध पेयजल की वैकल्पिक व्यवस्था करना भी संभव नहीं है, जिसके कारण लोग मजबूरी में इसी पानी का उपयोग कर रहे हैं।

गुरुवार को लोगों का आक्रोश उस समय सामने आया जब बड़ी संख्या में क्षेत्रवासी बीमारी की मेडिकल रिपोर्ट हाथों में लेकर सड़क पर उतर आए। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने आरोप लगाया कि लगातार दूषित पानी की आपूर्ति से पूरे मोहल्ले का स्वास्थ्य प्रभावित हो रहा है। उन्होंने प्रशासन से तत्काल जलापूर्ति की जांच कराने और शुद्ध पेयजल उपलब्ध कराने की मांग की। 

क्षेत्रवासियों ने जिलाधिकारी से हस्तक्षेप कर समस्या का स्थायी समाधान कराने की अपील की है। उनका कहना है कि यदि जल्द कार्रवाई नहीं हुई तो आंदोलन को और व्यापक रूप दिया जाएगा।

                           

Toxic Water Supply from Government Tank Sparks Health Crisis in Gangapura, Residents Demand Immediate Action

Hapur: A serious drinking water crisis has emerged in the Dalit settlement of Gangapura under the Hapur Municipal Council area, where residents allege that contaminated and foul-smelling water is being supplied through government water tanks. The situation has triggered widespread concern among locals, who claim that dozens of people have fallen ill due to the unsafe water.

According to residents, the contaminated water has led to several health issues, including jaundice, stomach infections, and liver-related ailments. Locals allege that despite repeated written complaints to the Municipal Council, no effective action has been taken to address the problem.

Residents Nitin Kumar and Dheeraj said they have approached municipal authorities multiple times and submitted formal complaints regarding the polluted water supply. However, they claim that officials have failed to respond adequately, forcing thousands of residents to continue using unsafe drinking water.

The issue has become particularly severe for economically weaker families who cannot afford water purifiers or bottled drinking water. As a result, they are left with no option but to consume the contaminated water being supplied to the area.

In protest against the alleged negligence, a large number of residents took to the streets carrying medical reports of their sick family members. Demonstrators urged authorities to take immediate action and ensure the supply of clean and safe drinking water.

Locals also appealed to the District Magistrate to intervene in the matter and order a thorough investigation into the quality of water being supplied. They warned that if the issue is not resolved promptly, the agitation could intensify in the coming days.

Residents further expressed concerns about the long-term health impact of the contaminated water, claiming that continued exposure could increase the risk of serious diseases. They have demanded a permanent solution to the water crisis and accountability from the concerned authorities.
