ओवरस्पीड पर सख्ती, ब्लैक स्पॉट का होगा दोबारा सर्वे; सड़क सुरक्षा बैठक में डीएम के कड़े निर्देश

जनपद में लगातार बढ़ रही सड़क दुर्घटनाओं पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए जिला प्रशासन ने सख्त रुख अपनाया है। मंगलवार को कलेक्ट्रेट में आयोजित जिला स्तरीय सड़क सुरक्षा समिति की बैठक में जिलाधिकारी कविता मीना ने अधिकारियों को दुर्घटना संभावित ब्लैक स्पॉट स्थलों का पुनः भौतिक सत्यापन कराने, ओवरस्पीड वाहनों के खिलाफ विशेष अभियान चलाने और बिना फिटनेस व परमिट के संचालित स्कूली वाहनों पर कठोर कार्रवाई करने के निर्देश दिए।

बैठक की अध्यक्षता करते हुए जिलाधिकारी ने कहा कि सड़क दुर्घटनाओं में अधिकांश मामलों का प्रमुख कारण तेज रफ्तार है। ऐसे में यातायात पुलिस और परिवहन विभाग संयुक्त रूप से अभियान चलाकर ओवरस्पीड वाहनों के अधिक से अधिक चालान सुनिश्चित करें। उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग प्राधिकरण (एनएचएआई), लोक निर्माण विभाग और संबंधित एजेंसियों को निर्देशित किया कि जिन स्थानों पर बार-बार दुर्घटनाएं हो रही हैं, वहां दोबारा निरीक्षण कर आवश्यक सुधारात्मक कदम उठाए जाएं।

बैठक में एनएचएआई गाजियाबाद के अधिकारियों ने जानकारी दी कि डासना से निजामपुर के बीच ओवरस्पीड पर नियंत्रण के लिए अत्याधुनिक स्पीड मॉनिटरिंग कैमरे शीघ्र स्थापित किए जाएंगे। इससे तेज रफ्तार वाहनों पर प्रभावी निगरानी रखी जा सकेगी और दुर्घटनाओं में कमी आने की उम्मीद है।

बैठक के दौरान हिट एंड रन योजना की समीक्षा भी की गई। 

अधिकारियों ने बताया कि मेरठ मंडल में पहली बार हिट एंड रन दुर्घटना में मृतक के आश्रित को दो लाख रुपये की अनुदान राशि स्वीकृत कर प्रदान की गई है। इस अवसर पर जिलाधिकारी कविता मीना एवं मुख्य विकास अधिकारी ने लाभार्थी को प्रमाणपत्र प्रदान किया। बताया गया कि एक अन्य पात्र आश्रित को भी जल्द ही सहायता राशि मिलने की संभावना है। जिलाधिकारी ने तहसील स्तर पर लंबित हिट एंड रन मामलों की रिपोर्ट शीघ्र उपलब्ध कराने के निर्देश दिए, ताकि पात्र परिवारों को समय पर आर्थिक सहायता मिल सके।

स्कूली बच्चों की सुरक्षा को लेकर भी बैठक में गंभीर चर्चा हुई। जिलाधिकारी ने जिला विद्यालय निरीक्षक और जिला बेसिक शिक्षा अधिकारी को निर्देशित किया कि बिना फिटनेस, परमिट अथवा निर्धारित मानकों के विपरीत संचालित हो रहे स्कूल वाहनों के खिलाफ विशेष जांच अभियान चलाया जाए और दोषियों पर कठोर कार्रवाई की जाए।

बैठक में अधिशासी अभियंता लोक निर्माण विभाग शैलेन्द्र सिंह, एआरटीओ (प्रवर्तन) रमेश कुमार चौबे, क्षेत्राधिकारी पिलखुवा मुनीश चंद्र, एनएचएआई, पीआईयू, रोड सेफ्टी समिति एवं विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे। बैठक के अंत में एआरटीओ (प्रवर्तन) रमेश कुमार चौबे ने सभी अधिकारियों का आभार व्यक्त किया।

                                        

DM Orders Fresh Survey of Accident Black Spots, Strict Action Against Overspeeding in Hapur

Hapur, June 23: In a significant move to strengthen road safety and curb the rising number of road accidents in the district, a District Road Safety Committee meeting was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Kavita Meena. Senior officials from various departments, including the Transport Department, Public Works Department (PWD), National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Traffic Police, UPSRTC, and members of the Road Safety Committee, attended the meeting.

During the review, the District Magistrate expressed concern over the increasing number of road accidents and directed officials to conduct fresh physical inspections of identified accident-prone black spots across the district. She emphasized that most accidents are occurring due to overspeeding and instructed the Traffic Police and Transport Department to intensify enforcement drives and increase challans against speeding vehicles.

Officials from NHAI Ghaziabad informed the committee that overspeed detection cameras will soon be installed on the Dasna–Nizampur stretch to monitor vehicle speeds and improve compliance with traffic regulations. The move is expected to help reduce accidents on one of the region’s busiest corridors.

The meeting also reviewed cases under the Hit-and-Run Compensation Scheme. Officials informed that, for the first time in the Meerut Division, the dependent of a deceased road accident victim has been granted financial assistance of ₹2 lakh under the scheme. District Magistrate Kavita Meena and the Chief Development Officer presented the certificate to the beneficiary. Another eligible dependent is also expected to receive compensation shortly. The DM directed all tehsil authorities to expedite reports in pending hit-and-run cases so that deserving families receive timely financial relief.

Taking a serious view of student safety, the District Magistrate also ordered strict action against school vehicles operating without valid fitness certificates or permits. The District Inspector of Schools and the Basic Education Officer were instructed to launch a special drive and ensure compliance with all safety norms.

The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer Shailendra Singh (PWD), ARTO (Enforcement) Ramesh Kumar Chaubey, Pilkhuwa Circle Officer Munish Chandra, NHAI officials, traffic authorities, UPSRTC representatives, and members of civil society organizations. The proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by ARTO (Enforcement) Ramesh Kumar Chaubey.

The administration expressed confidence that the measures discussed and approved during the meeting would significantly enhance road safety and help reduce accident rates across Hapur district.
