चाइनीज मांझे पर मेरठ रेंज की बड़ी कार्रवाई, दो साल में 56 गिरफ्तार; भारी मात्रा में प्रतिबंधित मांझा जब्त

प्रतिबंधित चाइनीज और सिंथेटिक मांझे के खिलाफ मेरठ रेंज पुलिस का अभियान लगातार जारी है। आमजन, पक्षियों और दोपहिया वाहन चालकों के लिए जानलेवा साबित हो रहे चाइनीज मांझे के अवैध कारोबार पर शिकंजा कसते हुए पुलिस ने पिछले दो वर्षों में बड़ी कार्रवाई की है। इस दौरान मेरठ रेंज के विभिन्न जिलों में 40 मुकदमे दर्ज कर 56 आरोपितों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है, जबकि भारी मात्रा में प्रतिबंधित चाइनीज मांझा बरामद कर जब्त किया गया है।

डीआईजी मेरठ रेंज कलानिधि नैथानी ने बुधवार को अभियान की समीक्षा करते हुए बताया कि चाइनीज एवं सिंथेटिक मांझे के निर्माण, भंडारण, बिक्री और उपयोग पर प्रभावी रोक लगाने के लिए रेंज के सभी जिलों में लगातार विशेष अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। पुलिस टीमों द्वारा बाजारों, गोदामों और संदिग्ध स्थानों पर छापेमारी कर अवैध कारोबारियों के खिलाफ कठोर कार्रवाई की जा रही है।

आंकड़ों के अनुसार मेरठ रेंज में दर्ज 40 अभियोगों में सबसे अधिक 37 मुकदमे मेरठ जनपद में दर्ज किए गए हैं, जहां 51 आरोपितों को गिरफ्तार किया गया। वहीं हापुड़ जनपद में तीन मुकदमे दर्ज कर पांच आरोपितों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। समीक्षा के दौरान डीआईजी ने बुलंदशहर और बागपत पुलिस को भी चाइनीज मांझे के खिलाफ अभियान तेज करने तथा अपेक्षित कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश दिए हैं।

डीआईजी का कहना है कि चाइनीज मांझा केवल कानून व्यवस्था का ही नहीं बल्कि जनसुरक्षा का भी गंभीर विषय है। हर वर्ष बड़ी संख्या में लोग इस मांझे की चपेट में आकर घायल होते हैं। कई मामलों में दोपहिया वाहन चालक दुर्घटनाग्रस्त हो जाते हैं, जबकि बड़ी संख्या में पक्षियों की मौत भी इसी मांझे की वजह से होती है। इसके बावजूद कुछ लोग अवैध लाभ कमाने के लिए प्रतिबंधित मांझे की बिक्री कर रहे हैं, जिनके खिलाफ अब लगातार कार्रवाई की जा रही है।

डीआईजी कलानिधि नैथानी ने कहा, "चाइनीज मांझा आमजन, विशेषकर बच्चों, दोपहिया वाहन चालकों एवं पक्षियों के लिए अत्यंत घातक सिद्ध होता है। इसकी बिक्री, भंडारण और उपयोग पूर्णतः प्रतिबंधित है। मेरठ रेंज में इसके विरुद्ध निरंतर अभियान चलाकर प्रभावी कार्रवाई की जा रही है। सभी जनपद प्रभारियों को निर्देशित किया गया है कि अवैध रूप से चाइनीज मांझे का निर्माण, भंडारण अथवा बिक्री करने वालों के विरुद्ध कठोर वैधानिक कार्रवाई सुनिश्चित की जाए। आमजन से भी अपील है कि प्रतिबंधित मांझे का उपयोग न करें तथा इसकी सूचना तत्काल पुलिस को दें। अभियान आगे भी जारी रहेगा।"

पुलिस ने नागरिकों से अपील की है कि पतंगबाजी के दौरान केवल सुरक्षित और मानक मांझे का ही उपयोग करें। यदि कहीं प्रतिबंधित चाइनीज मांझे की बिक्री, भंडारण या उपयोग की जानकारी मिले तो तत्काल स्थानीय पुलिस को सूचित करें।

                                

Crackdown on Chinese Kite String Intensifies in Meerut Range; 56 Arrested, 40 Cases Registered in Two Years

Meerut, June 24: The campaign against banned Chinese and synthetic kite string (manjha) continues across the Meerut Range, with police taking stringent action against those involved in its manufacture, storage, sale, and use. Over the past two years, police have registered 40 criminal cases and arrested 56 accused while seizing a large quantity of prohibited Chinese manjha.

Reviewing the ongoing drive, Meerut Range DIG Kalanidhi Naithani stated that a special enforcement campaign has been conducted continuously to curb the illegal trade of Chinese and synthetic kite string, which poses a serious threat to public safety. Police teams have carried out raids and intensive inspections at various locations to identify and prosecute individuals involved in the banned business.

According to official data, out of the 40 cases registered across the Meerut Range, 37 cases were lodged in Meerut district, leading to the arrest of 51 accused persons. In Hapur district, three cases were registered and five accused were arrested. During the review, the DIG directed police officials in Bulandshahr and Baghpat to intensify enforcement measures and take prompt action against those involved in the illegal sale and distribution of Chinese manjha.

Police officials highlighted that Chinese kite string remains a major safety hazard, particularly for children, motorcyclists, and birds. Every year, several incidents of serious injuries and accidents are reported due to the razor-sharp synthetic string, while countless birds also fall victim to it.

DIG Kalanidhi Naithani said, “Chinese manjha is extremely dangerous for the general public, especially children, two-wheeler riders, and birds. Its sale, storage, and use are completely prohibited. Effective action is being taken continuously across the Meerut Range through special enforcement drives. All district police chiefs have been directed to ensure strict legal action against anyone involved in the illegal manufacture, storage, or sale of Chinese manjha. We also appeal to citizens not to use banned kite string and to immediately inform the police if they come across any such illegal activity. The campaign will continue in the future as well.”

The police have urged residents to use only safe and approved kite string during kite-flying activities and to report any information regarding the manufacture, storage, sale, or use of banned Chinese manjha to the nearest police station. Authorities emphasized that public cooperation is crucial in eliminating the illegal trade and preventing accidents caused by the hazardous string.
