आई फ्लू के मामलों में बढ़ोतरी, आंखों में लालिमा और जलन से अस्पतालों की ओपीडी में बढ़ी भीड़

जिले में तेज धूप, धूल और बढ़ते प्रदूषण के बीच आंखों से जुड़ी बीमारियों के मरीजों की संख्या लगातार बढ़ रही है। जिला अस्पताल और सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र (सीएचसी) के नेत्र रोग विभाग में प्रतिदिन 120 से अधिक मरीज उपचार के लिए पहुंच रहे हैं। इनमें सबसे अधिक संख्या बच्चों की बताई जा रही है।

                     

नेत्र विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार इन दिनों वायरल कंजंक्टिवाइटिस (आई फ्लू) के मामलों में तेजी देखी जा रही है। मरीज आंखों में लालिमा, खुजली, जलन, चुभन और लगातार पानी आने जैसी शिकायतें लेकर अस्पताल पहुंच रहे हैं।

सीएचसी के नेत्र रोग विशेषज्ञ डॉ. संजय कुमार ने बताया कि उनके विभाग की ओपीडी में प्रतिदिन लगभग 60 मरीज आते हैं, जिनमें करीब 60 प्रतिशत लोग आंखों में संक्रमण या एलर्जी की समस्या से पीड़ित होते हैं।

डॉक्टरों का कहना है कि गर्मी के मौसम में धूल, तेज धूप, प्रदूषण और वायरल संक्रमण के कारण आंखों की समस्याएं तेजी से बढ़ती हैं। वायरल कंजंक्टिवाइटिस एक संक्रामक बीमारी है, जो संक्रमित व्यक्ति के सीधे संपर्क या उसके द्वारा इस्तेमाल की गई वस्तुओं के माध्यम से दूसरे लोगों में फैल सकती है।

विशेषज्ञों ने यह भी बताया कि मोबाइल फोन जैसी साझा उपयोग की वस्तुएं संक्रमण फैलाने का माध्यम बन सकती हैं। यदि परिवार का कोई सदस्य संक्रमित है और वही फोन या अन्य सामान बच्चे इस्तेमाल करते हैं, तो संक्रमण उनके बीच भी फैलने की संभावना बढ़ जाती है। चिकित्सकों ने लोगों से आंखों की साफ-सफाई बनाए रखने, संक्रमित व्यक्ति की निजी वस्तुओं का उपयोग न करने और परेशानी होने पर तुरंत चिकित्सकीय सलाह लेने की अपील की है।

                           

Rise in Eye Flu Cases Brings More Patients to Eye Clinics

Hapur: Cases of eye-related infections are increasing across the district as intense heat, dust, and pollution continue to affect public health. More than 120 patients are visiting the eye departments of the District Hospital and Community Health Centre (CHC) every day, with children making up a significant portion of the cases.

Doctors say there has been a noticeable rise in viral conjunctivitis (commonly known as eye flu). Many patients are reporting symptoms such as redness, itching, burning sensation, irritation, and excessive watering of the eyes.

According to eye specialist Dr. Sanjay Kumar, the CHC eye clinic alone treats around 60 patients daily, and nearly 60% of them are suffering from eye allergies or viral eye infections.

Medical experts explain that hot weather, dust, pollution, and seasonal viral infections contribute to the growing number of cases. Viral conjunctivitis is highly contagious and can spread through direct contact with an infected person or by sharing contaminated personal items.

Doctors also cautioned that frequently shared devices such as mobile phones may help spread the infection within families, especially from adults to children. People are advised to maintain proper eye hygiene, avoid sharing personal belongings, wash their hands regularly, and seek medical attention if symptoms persist or worsen.
