गंगा दशहरा पर लाखों श्रद्धालुओं के आगमन की संभावना, यातायात व्यवस्था में बदलाव

गढ़मुक्तेश्वर में बुधवार को गंगा दशहरा के अवसर पर बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालुओं के पहुंचने की उम्मीद है। प्रशासन के अनुमान के अनुसार ब्रजघाट, पुष्पावती पूठ और लठीरा स्थित गंगा तटों पर करीब पांच लाख श्रद्धालु स्नान और पूजा-अर्चना के लिए आ सकते हैं।

श्रद्धालुओं की भीड़ और संभावित यातायात दबाव को देखते हुए प्रशासन ने विशेष ट्रैफिक व्यवस्था लागू की है। हापुड़ से ब्रजघाट गंगा पुल तक वाणिज्यिक वाहनों के आवागमन पर अस्थायी रोक लगाई गई है, ताकि श्रद्धालुओं को किसी प्रकार की असुविधा न हो और जाम की स्थिति से बचा जा सके।

धार्मिक मान्यताओं के अनुसार ज्येष्ठ मास की शुक्ल पक्ष दशमी का दिन गंगा स्नान और पितरों के तर्पण के लिए विशेष महत्व रखता है। इस अवसर पर श्रद्धालु गंगा में स्नान कर अपने पूर्वजों की आत्मा की शांति के लिए पूजा-पाठ और तर्पण करते हैं।

धार्मिक पंचांग के अनुसार दशमी तिथि बुधवार शाम तक प्रभावी रहेगी, जिसके बाद एकादशी तिथि प्रारंभ होगी। इसी दिन दोपहर तक चित्रा नक्षत्र का प्रभाव रहेगा और उसके बाद स्वाति नक्षत्र का प्रवेश होगा।

प्रशासन और स्थानीय व्यवस्था समितियां श्रद्धालुओं की सुविधा एवं सुरक्षा के लिए आवश्यक तैयारियों में जुटी हुई हैं।

                       

Heavy Pilgrim Rush Expected on Ganga Dussehra, Traffic Restrictions Imposed

A large gathering of devotees is expected in Garhmukteshwar on Wednesday as people arrive to observe the Ganga Dussehra festival. Authorities estimate that nearly 500,000 pilgrims may visit the riverbanks at Brajghat, Pushpavati Pooth, and Lathira for holy bathing and religious rituals.

To manage the anticipated crowd and prevent traffic congestion, special transportation arrangements have been implemented. Commercial vehicle movement between Hapur and the Brajghat Ganga Bridge has been temporarily restricted to ensure smooth travel for pilgrims and maintain public safety.

According to Hindu religious traditions, the Shukla Paksha Dashami of the Jyeshtha month holds special significance for taking a holy dip in the Ganga and offering prayers for ancestors. Many devotees perform rituals and tarpan seeking peace and blessings for their departed family members.

Religious calendar calculations indicate that the Dashami observance will continue until Wednesday evening, after which the Ekadashi period will begin. The Chitra Nakshatra will remain in effect until early afternoon, followed by the Swati Nakshatra.

Local authorities and festival management teams have made arrangements to facilitate crowd control, safety measures, and essential services for the expected influx of devotees.
